Congratulations to the faculty and staff at the Emory Family Medicine Clinic at Dunwoody for an outstanding review in the spring of 2009 by The Joint Commission (JCAHO). According to the Emory Clinic administration the commission site visitor “was impressed with the staff, the consistency of their answers, and especially the way the practice manages patients across transitions of care (i.e. inpatient to outpatient) to ensure there is good continuity.” The site visitor “loved the house calls; loved the problem lists” and commented that the Dunwoody Family Medicine Clinic represents a practice model for the Emory Primary Care Network clinics.
The Emory Physician Assistant Program continues to be ranked #3 among graduate Physician Assistant Programs nationally by US & News Report.
Mr. David Elmer, Department Business Administrator, accepted a new position as the Business Administrator with the College of Medicine, Department of Family and Community Medicine at the Arizona Health Sciences Center in Tucson, Arizona.
